What is 2023 Nitrogen Fertilization Time Affects The Root Reserves of Tropical Grasses about?

This study investigates the impact of nitrogen fertilization timing on the root reserves of tropical grasses, specifically Urochloa brizantha cv. BRS Piatã and Megathyrsus maximus cv. BRS Quênia. Results indicate that immediate nitrogen application after harvest enhances forage and root mass for BRS Piatã, while BRS Quênia shows greater flexibility in fertilization timing. Delayed fertilization negatively affects root nitrogen content and overall grass regrowth, emphasizing the importance of timely nitrogen
