About this document
Eastern Plains Festivals and Costumes by Ronal Isak RT is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The three most important cultural traditions in the eastern plains region are the Coleo sport, the Joropo dance, and festivals held in June. The Coleo has been practiced since the 16th century and involves bull riding tournaments from March 20th to 22nd that attract 200 to 400 participants. The Joropo dance showcases Colombian folklore through choreographed dances to harp music and is one of the most popular regional customs. Festivals celebrating national Joropo songs and dances are organized in Villavicen
