What is Packed Bed Latent Heat Storage Model about?

This model simulates heat transfer in a packed bed latent heat storage tank. Warm water flows through spherical capsules filled with paraffin phase change material. A local thermal nonequilibrium approach is used to account for temperature differences between the paraffin and water. The model shows the evolution of temperatures over time, with the paraffin melting from the center outwards over approximately 10 hours as the entire tank reaches 70°C.
