Beatrice Martin, known by her stage name Coeur de Pirate, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician from Montreal. She began playing piano at age 3 and was the keyboardist for bands December Strikes First and Bonjour Brumaire in her teens. Coeur de Pirate released her debut self-titled album in 2008 which was nominated for a Juno award. She has collaborated with other artists including Julien Dore, Bedouin Soundclash, and Peter Peter. Her next album is scheduled for release on November 8, 2011.
