Can I read Understanding Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) on EtoBox?

Understanding Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) by dr_parmjit is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is Understanding Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) about?

LEDs emit light when forward biased due to a phenomenon called electroluminescence. In materials like gallium phosphide or gallium arsenide phosphide, the number of photons emitted is sufficient to create a visible light source. When an LED is forward biased, electrons and holes move toward the junction and recombine, radiating the energy difference between conduction and valence bands as light. The brightness of the emitted light is directly proportional to the forward bias current.
