This study examines the relationship between umbilical cord care and the incidence of infection in newborns at RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Hospital in Medan, Indonesia in 2019. The study found that the majority (85.7%) of respondents provided good umbilical cord care while a minority (14.2%) provided adequate care. The majority (94.3%) of newborns did not experience infection while a minority (5.7%) did experience infection. Statistical analysis showed a relationship between umbilical cord care and newborn infection
