This study assesses land suitability for surface irrigation in Belessa Districts, Ethiopia, using a GIS-based Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Eight parameters were analyzed, resulting in 13.9% of the area classified as highly suitable and 12.2% as unsuitable for irrigation. The findings aim to support agricultural development and improve food security in the region by guiding irrigation land development efforts.
