What is Transurethral Bladder Eversion in Rabbits about?
Transurethral bladder eversion was diagnosed in two rabbit does with a history of dystocia. In the first case, partial cystectomy and cystopexy were performed to correct the prolapse. The doe remained clinically normal one year post-surgery. Bladder eversion occurs due to loss of urethral sphincter tone and must be repaired quickly to prevent necrosis and secondary renal issues.
