What is Zakat Nisab Declaration about?
The Government of Pakistan has announced the Nisab for Zakat for the year 1445 AH to be Rs. 179,689, indicating that no Zakat will be deducted from accounts with balances below this amount on the first day of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak, expected on March 1st or 2nd, 2025. All banks and financial institutions are instructed to deduct Zakat from applicable accounts accordingly and to submit the necessary documentation to the Ministry after the deduction.
