## Pilsicainide toxicity and ventricular tachycardia: case report An 84-year-old man developed pilsicainide toxicity and ventricular tachycardia during treatment with pilsicainide for atrial fibrillation [durations of treatments to reactions onsets not stated; not all outcomes stated]. The man had a history of Parkinson's disease, hypertension, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, was receiving treatment with pilsicainide [pilsicainide hydrochloride; route and dosage not stated]. Before 3 days of admission, he developed fever and cough. A day before, he developed lethargy and was brought to a local hospital. A 12-lead ECG showed ventricular tachycardia and he was transferred to another hospital because of pilsicainide toxicity. His creatinine was increased to 6.2 mg/dL secondary to sepsis. The man was started on emergent haemodialysis for 3 hours and his QRS instantly narrowed. But 2 hours after ending haemodialysis, his again QRS prolonged and haemodialysis was resumed followed by direct hemoperfusion. The QRS remained narrow even after 2 nd session of haemodialysis.
