This study analyzes and describes the social values that emerge through cooperative learning among fifth grade students in a public school in Bogota. The researchers observed classroom interaction and identified five values that facilitate coexistence: respect, responsibility, tolerance, solidarity and honesty. Students expressed a desire to be more respectful of differences, responsible, tolerant of disagreements, solidary in helping others, and honest with themselves and others to create a better learning
