What is Anatomy of the Uveal Tract about?
The uvea is the vascular layer of the eye and consists of the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. The iris is the anterior-most part and contains two muscles - the sphincter pupillae and dilator pupillae. The ciliary body has ciliary processes that produce aqueous humor. The choroid is the most posterior layer and supplies nutrients to the outer retina. The three layers receive blood supply from the short and long posterior ciliary arteries and drain into the vortex veins.
