During the transitional period from imperial to metric units and until such time as screening equipment based on imperial sizes is replaced by new equipment conforming to metric requirements, material supplied to the grading limits given in BS 1446:1962 will be considered equally applicable with material supplied to the grading limits given in Table 2 and Table 3 of this standard.
