Can I read Adhesive strip concept for delamination arrestment on EtoBox?
Adhesive strip concept for delamination arrestment by Eisenmann, James R., is a nonfiction available to read on EtoBox.
What is Adhesive strip concept for delamination arrestment about?
This program demonstrated the feasibility of using discrete adhesive strips in graphite-epoxy laminates to arrest the growth of delaminations. The narrow strips of tough adhesive were placed adjacent to wider strips of unidirectional graphite-epoxy tape during layup. When cocured in the laminate, the strips provided a network of tough, interconnecting bonds that inhibited delamination growth between plies. Mechanical testing was performed to assess the effects of notches under tensile and compressive loading, to measure Mode I and Mode II critical strain-energy release rate, Mode I and Mode II delamination growth rate (da/dN) fatigue damage accumulation behavior, and low velocity impact response
