This systematic review and meta-analysis compared continuous and interrupted sutures for skin closure. The analysis included 10 studies with 1181 participants. It found that both subcuticular and transdermal continuous sutures had higher patient and doctor visual analogue scale scores for cosmetic appearance compared to interrupted sutures. Continuous sutures also had a lower risk of dehiscence than interrupted sutures. There was no significant difference in infection rates between the two suture methods. T
