About this document

Overview of AMBA APB Protocol by SubbuNaidu is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The Advanced Peripheral Bus (APB) is part of the Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) family of protocols. It is optimized for low power and simple peripherals. APB connects low-bandwidth peripherals and can interface with other AMBA protocols through bridges. All APB transfers take at least two clock cycles to complete, with the ability to insert wait states using the PREADY signal. APB supports both read and write transfers, and can indicate an error response using the PSLVERR signal.
