The magnetic investigation of mixed crystals CuF,/MgF, confirms that the antiferromagnetic behaviour of pure CuF, is due to Cu-Cu interactions. It is shown that in analogy t o corresponding systems with NiF,, the magnetic properties are remarkably influenced b y small, analytically not proved amounts of oxygen.
