1. The study aimed to optimize the removal of sulfonamide antibiotics from water samples using a magnetic Fe3O4-bentonite nanocomposite (Fe3O4-Bt) adsorbent. 2. Using a central composite design, the optimal conditions were determined to be an antibiotic concentration of 20 mg/L, 0.23 g of nanoparticles, pH of 6, and ultrasonication time of 17 minutes. 3. Testing on real water samples showed the Fe3O4-Bt adsorbent could remove sulfonamide antibiotics between 86.85-97.47% with low variability.
