What is Le Corbusier about?
Le Corbusier was a pioneering Swiss-French architect who developed the style now known as International or Modern architecture. Some of his key philosophies included raising buildings on pilotis, having free floor plans unrestricted by structural walls, and incorporating roof gardens. He is renowned for his Villa Savoye, which exemplified his five points of architecture. Le Corbusier also developed the Modulor system for architectural proportion based on the human body and the golden ratio.
