About this document
Properties of Light and Color Effects by Kaezeth Jasmine Añana is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Light travels from the sun in waves of different colors. When it hits particles in the atmosphere like nitrogen and oxygen, blue light scatters more than red light, which is why the sky appears blue. During sunrises and sunsets, light must pass through more atmosphere, so the blue light is filtered out and we see reds and oranges. A rainbow forms when sunlight enters water droplets and is refracted and reflected inside, separating light into colors in an arc.
