This captivating collection is a condensed board book version of Mother Goose: A Sampler, first published in 1996 for the benefit of the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program, which uses Mother Goose rhymes to support parenting. Sixteen childrens illustrators donated artwork to the original collection; each was given free rein to respond to these age-old rhymes, with wonderful results. Artists include Kim LaFave, Philippe Bha, Barbara Reid, Mark Thuman, Gary Clement, Marie-Louise Gay, and Norman Cousineau interpreting such timeless favorites as The Man in the Moon, Hey Diddle Diddle, The Moon Is Round, Over in the Meadow in the Sand in the Sun, and others.
