This study investigated the performance of a diesel engine fueled with blends of diesel and cerium oxide or zinc oxide nanoparticles. Various nanoparticle-blended fuels were tested in a single-cylinder compression ignition engine. The results showed that adding nanoparticles improved the thermal efficiency of the engine compared to operation on diesel alone, at full load.
