About this document

Understanding Public Art and Its Impact by hernandezsean is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Public art is any medium intended to provoke reflection in a target audience. An example is a flash mob that occurred on a busy street, blocking traffic to raise awareness about deforestation. While the flash mob brought attention to the issue, it inconsiderately bothered people who were not interested and did not understand its message. The artist could have better planned the public art to engage its intended audience without disrupting others.
