What is Sweet Potato Vine in Ram Diets about?

The study investigates the effects of replacing concentrate mix with sweet potato vine (SPV) on the weight gain and methane emissions of yearling rams. Results indicate that SPV can replace up to 40% of the concentrate mix without affecting feed intake or weight gain, while significantly reducing methane emissions. The findings suggest that SPV is a viable alternative protein source for rams, contributing to methane mitigation in livestock farming.
