The Itneg Revolt of 1625-1627 was led by Miguel Lanab and Alababan of the Itneg tribe against Spanish missionaries trying to convert them to Catholicism. They killed and desecrated the bodies of two Dominican missionaries. In response, Spanish troops destroyed Itneg farms and food sources, forcing their surrender.
