This study investigates the relationship between serum levels of bone alkaline phosphatase (BAP) and osteocalcin (OC) in Egyptian females with beta thalassemia major and their role in osteoporosis. Results indicate that BAP and OC levels correlate positively with osteoporosis, and higher BAP levels are associated with lower bone mineral density. The findings suggest that BAP and OC may serve as valuable biomarkers for assessing bone health in thalassemic patients.
