The operation involved planting false invasion plans on a dead body and allowing it to wash ashore in Spain where it would be found by German spies. The documents suggested the Allies planned to invade Greece or Sardinia instead of Sicily. When the documents reached Hitler, he believed them and moved troops from Sicily.
