What is Daily Lectionary Overview about?

This lectionary provides daily Bible readings from the Old Testament, Psalms, and New Testament intended to read through each section entirely in a year. The Psalms are read six times a year. The Old Testament follows the general order of the biblical canon, except for Isaiah and Daniel which are reserved for December. The New Testament is read twice in a year. The readings are intended to accompany the Daily Office liturgy, allowing one to pray either Matins or Vespers daily without missing content.
