Tinospora rumphii is a local vine used traditionally to treat various ailments. A study was conducted to evaluate its effectiveness against scabies. 40 scabies patients were randomly assigned to treatment with Tinospora lotion, sulfur ointment, or placebo oil. Patients applied the treatments daily for 3-5 days over 2 cycles. Tinospora lotion completely cured 8 patients and partially cured 18, while sulfur completely cured 2 and partially cured 7.
