What is HydroGen secures $2m in funding about?
IceMOS helps to put in place all of the building blocks needed to create Neah Power's product. Neah's working micro fuel cell prototype, which was demonstrated last year [FCB, November 2007], runs as a closed-loop system without requiring air as an oxidant. The technology is used to develop long-lasting, efficient and safe power supply systems for portable electronic devices, including notebook computers, military radios and other power-hungry products. It uses a unique, patented, silicon-based design for its micro fuel cells that is claimed to achieve higher power densities than other technologies, enabling products to be made that are lighter in weight and have a compact form-factor. Through an investment banking relationship with Jesup & Lamont, Neah Power recently announced that it has commitments for funds of more than $850 000. This funding will provide working capital for the company, and further merger and acquisition discussions it is pursuing.
