This study analyzed the effects of Michigan splint therapy on disc displacement (DD) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Twenty-five patients with DD symptoms were treated with a Michigan splint and underwent MRI before and during treatment. The positions of the disc and condyles were measured from the MRI images.
