This study explores the development of fully bio-based epoxy resins using lignin and epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) to enhance thermomechanical properties. The modification of technical lignin with tung oil anhydride as a hardener significantly improves the tensile strength and shape memory properties of the resulting thermosets, despite some reduction in thermal stability. The findings suggest that technical lignin is a promising bio-based curing agent for ESO, addressing its inherent flexibility limitations
