This study examined the effects of a speech treatment called VISTA on 10 individuals with non-fluent/agrammatic primary progressive aphasia. The treatment focused on rehearsing scripts and improving speech fluency and grammar. Results found significant short-term improvements in speech production, fluency, and grammar for trained topics, as well as long-term maintenance of gains. Brain regions associated with better treatment responses included the left middle/inferior temporal cortex.
