María Antonieta de las Nieves is a Mexican actress and comedian best known for her role as La Chilindrina in the sitcom El Chavo del Ocho. She began her career as a child actress in the 1950s and became famous for playing La Chilindrina starting in the 1970s. De las Nieves was able to win a legal battle in 2003 establishing her rights to the character of La Chilindrina. She has continued acting and voicing characters since then.
