About this document
Voice Call Options in LTE Networks by afroxxx is a document available to read on EtoBox.
When a user makes a voice call from an LTE/4G network, there are several alternatives for completing the call. The call can be transferred to legacy 2G/3G networks using CSFB or VoLGA. It can also be carried over the LTE network using VoLTE, which requires an IMS core to support voice over IP. SRVCC allows calls started on VoLTE to seamlessly handover to 2G/3G if needed. Each option involves tradeoffs between required network investment and reliance on legacy infrastructure.
