This study evaluates the implementation of a standardized admission order set (AOS) in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a public hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. A total of 932 children were admitted, with an overall adherence to the AOS of 71.68%, and 90.77% compliance for the first nine components of the AOS. The findings suggest that the AOS significantly improves the quality of care and standardization in a developing healthcare setting.
