What is Two-Phase Filled Cookie Patent about?
This patent describes a cookie that contains both an oil-based interior filling and a water-based interior filling. When the cookie is heated in a microwave oven, the water-based filling expands and exudes out through the top of the cookie, flowing down the exterior surfaces. This produces a cookie that resembles a volcano erupting. The cookie is shelf-stable at room temperature but heating activates the water-based filling to expand out of the cookie.
