This paper presents an experimental demonstration of a 7-level duobinary-4-PAM signal operating at 10.16 Gbit/s for electrical bandwidth limited optical fiber links. A simple 5th order Bessel filter with a 1.8 GHz cutoff frequency is used to generate the polybinary signal from a 4-PAM signal.
