This study reviewed 14 cases of multiple brain abscesses over a 14 year period. Computerized tomography (CT) scanning was vital for detecting multiple abscesses and assessing therapy. The source of infection was found to be the teeth or sinuses in half of patients. Streptococci were isolated in 63% of patients and staphylococci in 21%, informing antibiotic treatment.
