This study presents a method for synthesizing ZnO-TiO2 layered double-nanostructures on bamboo to enhance its antifungal and flame-retardant properties. The results show that the ZnO-TiO2 coating significantly inhibits fungal growth compared to untreated bamboo, with no visible fungal growth observed on the coated samples during the testing period. Additionally, the flame-retardant property of the bamboo was improved, as indicated by an increase in the limiting oxygen index from 25.6% to 30.2%.
