S.l., s.a. - 8 p. This paper addresses tonal domains in Kinande as a way of complementing material already published on the Afranaph website on Kinande (cf. Grammar Sketch, Kinande-English dictionary, Kinande OM dislocation). Three foci of interest with respect to the research related to African anaphora are introduced in this paper. First, the verbal extensions –ik-i- (a combination of the stative –ik- and the causative –i-) that convey the idea "help someone do." This meaning which has not been explored in previous Bantu studies has the potential of being further explored in studies on African anaphora as it gives a different role to the object argument of the verb, as shown in these examples: eri-hék-a "to carry," eri-hek-ék-a "to be carry-able," eri-hek-i-a "to make (s.o.) carry," eri-hek-ek-i-a "to help someone carry." This meaning is briefly illustrated in the introduction to the Kinande-English dictionary.
