About this document
Understanding Hypothermia Risks by SamuelEfraimRuntulalo is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Hypothermia is defined as a body temperature below 95°F and can cause confusion, lethargy, and loss of consciousness. Brain function decreases with lower temperatures and stops below 68°F, while abnormal heart rhythms may occur below 82.4°F. With decreased blood flow to the skin, fingers, toes, ears and nose are most at risk for frostbite as ice crystals can form without sufficient heat.
