What is Sarmad Shaheed: The Naked Sufi Martyr about?

Hazrat Sarmad Shaheed was a 17th century Sufi saint from Persia who traveled to India as a trader but fell in love with a Hindu boy in Thatta, causing him to abandon his trade and wander naked. He gained influence at the Mughal court under Dara Shikuh but was later executed in Delhi on charges of heresy after Aurangzeb took power. Despite refusing to repent, after his beheading his severed head was heard reciting the Islamic declaration of faith, and Aurangzeb never achieved peace during his rule.
