This study investigates the growth performance and nutritional value of freshwater Spirulina sp. under different photoperiods (6T-18G, 12T-12G, 18T-6G, and 24T-0G). Results indicate that while photoperiod manipulation did not significantly affect dry biomass and population density, it did impact specific growth rate and doubling time, with 12 hours of light yielding the highest protein content (39.73%). The findings suggest that a 12-hour photoperiod is optimal for Spirulina production efficiency.
