This study investigates the hypolipidemic and anti-atherosclerotic effects of Glycyrrhiza glabra root extract in hypercholesterolemic rats. Results indicate that the extract significantly reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels while preventing the formation of aortic atherosclerotic plaques. The findings support the traditional use of Glycyrrhiza glabra in treating cardiovascular diseases.
