What is A Star in a Stoneboat: Frost about?
A laborer finds a fallen star while working and mistakes it for a stone. He drags it away to use for building a stone wall instead of recognizing it as a star. The poet feels compelled to measure the walls to right the wrong of the star being used for mundane construction instead of being returned to the sky. Though not a star of great significance, studying the stone provides the poet a sense of exploring a complete world in miniature.
