This study explores the internationalization of transnational entrepreneurial firms (TEFs) from advanced to emerging economies, focusing on the role of transnational mixed-embeddedness. Through qualitative case studies of TEFs from Canada and the UK entering China, it finds that high levels of mixed-embeddedness in both home and host countries facilitate internationalization by reducing resource and institutional barriers.
