In addition, Guy Lombardo's dance band, great pop stars like Bing Crosby and Judy Garland, and legendary vocal groups like the Andrews Sisters and the Mills Brothers are covered. Country hit makers such as Jimmy Davis and the Sons of the Pioneers are detailed as well.

Each volume contains an index of artists, with the last volume providing numerical listings of issued recordings, including sections on 78/45 rpm singles, 45 rpm extended plays, 33 rpm albums, and compact discs.
