This document summarizes a study on the effect of stirring speed on conversion and particle stabilization time during the early stages of poly(vinyl chloride) production via suspension polymerization. Preliminary tests were conducted to evaluate conversion and particle properties using two formulations with different initiator and dispersing agent concentrations. The influence of stirring speed from 600-1000 rpm on conversion over the first 2 hours of reaction was then investigated for the best formulation.
