What is Document Analysis and Insights about?
This document presents a tension stiffening model for reinforced concrete with increasing damage. The model considers (1) the localization of microcracking in plain concrete using constant fracture energy, and (2) the interaction between concrete and reinforcing steel by approximating the tension stiffening effect observed in reinforced concrete elements under tensile stresses. Numerical examples are presented and compared to experimental and other numerical results.
